About - FAQ's

Can anyone go to a Vision celebration?
Do I have to be a member of the church?
Everyone is welcome at Vision celebrations. You do not need to be a member of a Methodist church or any church. As our guest, you will not be singled out in any way.

Do I have to dress up?
No. Our worship celebrations take place in a relaxed casual atmosphere.

Is this some type of cult?
Vision is part of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church which has been in the United States for over 200 years. United Methodists seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to know God through scripture, tradition, reason and experience. For more info on United Methodist beliefs just Click Here. Vision began in 1999 as a ministry of Warwick United Methodist Church.

You're not going to ask me for money, are you?
We do not expect first time guests to make a donation to our ministry. We do take an offering at every celebration to support Vision and other mission projects both here and around the world.

I've been to church. There's not a long boring sermon, is there?
Vision celebrations last about an hour. There is a brief message that relates the Bible to everyday life in a practical way.

What do I do with my kids?
Children are welcome at Vision celebrations. Also, professional child care is available in our nursery for children 4 years old and under. We also provide VisionKids during the message portion of worship. Ask our hospitality team if you need help finding anything.

I've been a Christian for a long time and I need some depth in worship. Is Vision just for "seekers"?
Absolutely not. At Vision, you will find people at various stages in their spiritual journey. Our celebrations are deep explorations of what God is saying to us today. Whether you've been going to church for years, or are just starting, there's something for you at Vision.

How do I get there?
Vision is located on 103 Newport Bridge Rd. at an historic church campus in picturesque Warwick, NY. Click here for directions.
