Home - About Us - Membership
Everyone is always welcome at Vision, but some people want to deepen their commitment. Many people have asked us, “How can I become a member of Vision?” We don’t do membership. Gyms and country clubs have members. Instead, we invite those who feel called to journey deeper into a relationship with Christ to become Covenant Partners with Vision. We invite you to prayerfully consider if you feel called to join our church in this way.
This is not a hierarchy or special class of person. Jesus said, “The last shall become first and the first shall become last.” Although Covenant Partners will be permitted to vote at our annual meetings and serve on our Board, this is not a sign of privilege or power. Rather it is a way of embodying servanthood.
Covenant partners must have attended Vision for at least three months and are asked to make the following covenant:
- Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Be baptized or renew your baptism
- Have taken the Membership Class – offered in the spring and fall
- Support Vision as your church
- Attendance: the expectation is if your family is healthy and in town that you will be here
- Financial support: we will be asking you to prayerfully consider and pledge how much you give Vision in the coming year. Traditionally, tithing (giving in the church) has been 10% of one’s income. If that is not possible for you at this time, we ask that you set a percentage that you can meet and work towards working your way up to a full tithe.
